There’s no right way to do this, it’s entirely up to you and your project. You could create a sub-menu under the Tools menu or you could handle everything in a context menu that appears only when needed. Keep in mind that you don’t have to use the Options dialog for your settings. To make things a bit more interesting, the plugin also has a dedicated options page in the Options dialog accessible from the Tools menu of Qt Creator. The only option available is the time between 2 messages. The plugin we’re going to create here is pretty simple. It shows a message to suggest the user to take a break after using Qt Creator for a certain amount of time.
