![]() Pretty badass, no? So, what’s the bad news? For the most part, the Bioshock Infinite posters available at Irrational’s site are lithographs (for the uninitiated: those’re the glossy, somewhat flimsy type of posters you’d buy in a Wal-Mart they’re the furthest thing from, say, a screenprinted Tyler Stout poster). As a longtime fan of the work being done by Ken Levine and Irrational Games-not to mention as a dude who would gladly set an orphanage aflame if it meant getting to play Bioshock Infinite a few weeks early-I was excited to see the art direction of that forthcoming game transferred to poster form. Good news is, there are, in fact, a number of Bioshock Infinite posters available at the Irrational Games website. Little did I know it, but I was about to get a strong dose of “good news/bad news”. Over the weekend, a friendly reader shot me an email with a subject line reading “BIOSHOCK INFINITE POSTERS!!!”, and inside was a link pointing me in the direction of Irrational Games’ online store. Next up: in the past, I’ve talked at length about the depressingly small number of video game-themed prints that drop each year, and so far there’s been little reason to believe that 2013’s going to be any different (for the love of god, Mondo, let’s get a game-themed gallery show going: Daddy needs all the Fallout prints). Sentinel of The Spaceways by Marko Manev. Both are going on-sale via the Bottleneck website tomorrow at 12pm EST, and both look like they’re setting up what’ll end up being a striking series: Check out this pair, which are the prints mentioned in the quote above. Yes, yes, but what do the posters look like? Pretty snazzy. To check for more updates and previews for our next show, Get a Room, opening next week please head on over to /Bottleneckgallery. #BIOSHOCK INFINITE POSTERS SERIES#As always, in true Bottleneck fashion, $1 from every order in the entire Noir series will be donated to Marko’s chosen charity, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Tomorrow, Friday February 8th at around 12pm eastern we will be releasing the first two prints from his series. By placing our favorite superheroes in a gritty environment, his series, Superhero Noir, quickly became the talk of the internet. Here’s the press release we received earlier in the week:Įarlier this week we announced a special collaboration with artist Marko Manev. Let’s start things off with a look at a new series from our friends at NYC’s Bottleneck Gallery. ![]() #BIOSHOCK INFINITE POSTERS WINDOWS#I’ll see you at the Southampton location, okay folks?īioShock Infinite will be released on March 26 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.Will today be the day that we hear about that “top-secret mystery event” that we discussed earlier this week? Survey says… “I have no friggin’ idea”, so I suppose all we can do for now is sit around, wait, and take a look at some of the other things happening in Poster World now, soon, or in the near future. Here’s the (huge) list of locations where you can find a poster. So, first up – check out our preview of the opening hours of the game, then take a look at the poster, below, so you know what you’re looking for. Even cooler, arguably, is that the store manager who is displaying the winning poster will net a £1000 cash prize to split with their staff. The posters will be on display from March 1st to April 1st and if you find one, you’ll want to use the hashtag #BioShockInfinite. Put simply, there will be 100 selected indie retailers (good on 2K for choosing indie stores, too) receiving a limited edition “Wanted” poster to go in their shop windows, and if you can find one (store locations at the bottom of this article) and tweet it, you will be entered into the draw to win one of the BioShock Infinite Ultimate Songbird Special Editions of the game. 2K are offering fans a chance to win the special edition of BioShock Infinite, by using their detective skills to snap a picture of a Booker Dewitt fugitive poster, found in select indie stores throughout the UK. ![]()
